Frederick Hagelstein
Hello, my name is Frederick Hagelstein (or simply just Freddy). I'm 14 years old and currently studying in the 8th grade, my fifth year here at the GESM. In this school year, I was kindly given the opportunity to represent my schoolmates' concerns. I was very keen on the idea of taking such a responsibility because for the past few years I've been a pupil here at the GESM, my needs as a student were taken care of and I understand how friendly cooperation between the school and students could result in positive outcomes.
Among the many good experiences I have had with the school, I feel deeply appreciative with how my days as a new student were handled. I was sent to the German School after completing my third year in elementary school without any experience with the German language in the hope to learn it fluently. At first, I couldn't cope with my classes. The school then gave me additional help to develop my German and soon later I caught up with my classmates regarding my German skills. But, I still have a lot of improving to do.
Throughout my years at the GESM, I have made several amazing friends that I probably wouldn't have met if I were never enrolled here. I also really like the teachers here. They are all very friendly and motivational. Everywhere at school, I see smiles on everyone's faces and feel at home due to our positive school atmosphere. There are a few minor problems that we, the Student and Class Representatives, have looked into and have so far come up with some solutions that can be executed in order to improve our school's environment.
For the past five years, I can look back and reminisce on the many great memories I have had at this school with many great friends I hope to keep for years and years to come. This school can offer many great opportunities for the future. And being able to give back is very fulfilling to me and I hope also to my fellow students.

Adriana Besser
Hi! I am Adriana Besser, I'm the Co Student Representative for the school year 2010/2011. I have two main goals for this school year.
Noticing my first year here that our classes don't interact much with each other, I have a suggestion to have a day were we all engage into fun activities together and get to know people outside our classroom.
My second and very important goal is for us to get more involved in social activities, such as charity work. It not only has to be for IB students, we all can give a hand to the less fortunate.
For the past three years, our IB Diploma Programme graduates have consistently scored above or at world average. GESM thoroughly prepares students throughout this rigorous ...
