Secondary School
Responding to the educational needs of international families in Manila the International Section will be offering a secondary school education commencing in the school year 2011-2012.

In years 6-8 (11-14) children will prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education taken in year 10. The IGCSE is the world's most popular international qualification for 14-16 year olds. It develops successful students, giving them excellent preparation for their next steps in education, including progression to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in years 11 and 12. The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous pre university course that meets the needs of motivated secondary school students. It is designed to fulfill requirements of various national education systems by incorporating the best educational elements from around the world. It is recognized worldwide for entrance into universities and colleges.

In years 6-8 children study Mathematics, Sciences, English, German and French as a foreign language, Geography, History, ICT, Arts, Music and Sports. In year 9 children then, together with their core subjects Mathematics, Sciences, English and German have options to study between four and six more additional subjects taken from the list above.
