German as a Foreign Language
German as a foreign language is taught in small groups of a maximum six children between 2 to 6 lessons per week depending on the student’s performance. We work with language, teaching and learning concepts which are based on the latest studies of languages scientists such as the KonLab Programme according to Professor Zvi Penner.
Learning English in Elementary School
Learning of the English language is of the utmost importance, not only because we live in an English speaking environment. From the first class onward we teach 5 hours per week according to the concept of early learning of foreign languages in elementary school. In the first grade the students will familiarize themselves with the language and learn basic communication skills. In the second grade writing skills are included and is developed further year by year. This allows children to already learn in elementary school the basis of the English language and its structure, which in return encourages the learning of the German language and its structure.
