The German European School Manila is an accredited German School abroad. By contract between the School Association Deutsche Schule in Manila and the ZfA, the school follows the calendar guidelines of the ZfA which aims to fulfill 182 school days per school year. Philippine National holidays or non-working days may therefore not always be followed. The school has to prioritise the appropriate learning rhythm and the due dates of international and German exams.

Together with the board, the Head of School is authorized to effect changes with regard to the number of school days.
