GESM Students in Jakarta Kulturfest

The recently held Cultural Festival in Jakarta was a big success. Despite the fact that this event is not about competitions like the ISAC tournaments, one can measure its success by the applause, the smiling faces, the fun and camaraderie among participants as well as the excellent results of the workshops.

At the opening ceremony last Friday evening, the participating German schools (Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Mumbai and Singapore) presented an impressive show on stage which they had prepared during the last few weeks.

Two days later at the closing ceremony, the students again showed their talents by presenting the work they did in the different workshops like Indonesian fashion, cuisine, dance and many other interesting workshops where the students were given the chance to either get an insight or deepen their skills regarding their chosen cultural workshop.

Again, many thanks to the Deutsche Internationale Schule Jakarta who made this event possible. Everybody is already looking forward to the next Cultural Festival which will take place in 2010!
