About the Southeast Asian Games

The Southeast Asian games take place every two years and are hosted in turns by the German schools in Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi, and Manila. Our last games here in Manila was in 2011. To date, this is the 15th games of its kind, following a quarter century old tradition.

Every school sends 20 students to consist of 10 boys and 10 girls, with an average age of 15 years to compete in swimming, track & field, and two team sports. In Manila, the team sports will be basketball and football.

The event will start on the 1st of May with an opening ceremony, followed by 4 days of sports competitions. The overall winner will be awarded at the closing ceremony on the 5th of May and will take home the well-earned trophy.
