On 12 February 2026, Kindergarten students from both the English and German sections had an exciting day as they visited the school’s science laboratory for an introduction to the world of science. The visit began with a lively discussion about what science is and what scientists do—asking questions, exploring ideas, and experimenting to discover how things work. The children were encouraged to see themselves as “little scientists,” ready to explore and learn.

The highlight of the visit was hands-on experimentation. In the first activity, students combined vinegar, baking soda, and food coloring to watch a fizzy, colorful reaction unfold. Amazement and wonder filled the room as they learned that mixing certain substances can create new effects. The second experiment brought science and play together: using paper kites, paper clips, and magnets, the children discovered how invisible forces could make their kites “fly.” This simple demonstration introduced them to the concept of magnetism in a fun, memorable way.

The lab visit not only sparked curiosity but also showed the children that science is about exploration and discovery. By engaging in these experiments, they took their first steps into understanding the wonders of the scientific world.
