German European School Manila (GESM)

The German European School Manila (GESM) offers enriching and immersive one-year internship opportunities (August-July) for aspiring teachers and social pedagogues seeking meaningful international experience in education. 

​

As an accredited German School Abroad, GESM delivers high-quality education within a truly international environment. With a faculty representing over 26 nationalities and students representing more than 50 nationalities, the school provides a uniquely diverse setting that encourages, intercultural understanding and professional growth.

The internship Experience

​

As an intern, you will be fully integrated into the life of the school and play an active role within the classroom. Working alongside experienced and dedicated educators, you will: 
 

• Engage meaningfully with students
   

• Support differentiated and small group learning
   

• Contribute to the planning and delivery of lessons
   

• Gradually assume increased responsibility in teaching practice

In addition to classroom placements, selected opportunities may be available in areas such as the library, media (graphic design), and marketing. You are also invited to contribute to the wider school community by initiating and leading extracurricular activities aligned with students interests and strengths.

• A monthly allowance

• Travel support, including a flight allowance ​

​

• Comprehensive Philippine health insurance for the duration of the internship
