Grade 1D and 2D explore Autumn

Some children have many associations with this special time of year, others only know the natural event second-hand.

In German class, we began to explore the theme of months and seasons. Some children talked about their Autumn experiences in Europe, about chestnuts and kites they flew. They drew the forest in Autumn and we talked about the reason why trees in Germany lose their leaves in the colder months.

In art class, the topic was taken up and worked on artistically. This was preceded by a few drawing tree studies in the field.
