After their exercise on road safety in the previous week, the primary schoolers next tackled first aid during their Student Houses period. With the help of volunteer moms Sunshine Riva and Stephanie Konstanzer -- who themselves have backgrounds in the medical profession -- the students were given demonstrations and an orientation on the importance of first aid. They learned about how to deal with nosebleeds, simple cuts, bruises, etc.
They also learned when NOT to do anything and ask help from grown-ups instead!
NOTE: While the children were shown how to apply bandages properly, they were advised to not attempt to do it themselves and instead to ask help from grown-ups.
