On June 24, the English Primary section (Grades 1E to 5E) of the German European School Manila (GESM) came together for a vibrant and heartfelt Year-End Assembly titled “Aloha”: a fitting theme for a year marked by warmth, learning, and connection.
The event featured performances from every grade level, with some numbers even involving cross-grade collaboration, showcasing the creative spirit and teamwork that defined the school year. Parents, teachers, and the school community gathered in celebration of students’ growth and achievements.
A special moment came when parents of “Model Students” -- those recognized for excellence in Terms 1 and 2 -- were invited onstage to personally award medals to their children, creating touching scenes of pride and joy.
Capping the event was a powerful group performance of “Walking the Wire”, sung by students from all corners of the auditorium, filling the space with unity and heart.
In true Filipino “salo-salo” spirit, the morning concluded with a community picnic held in the area in front of the playground, where families shared food, laughter, and warm memories.
