GEB Elections 2026: Strengthening Parent Representation at GESM

On 26 September 2026, the German European School Manila (GESM) held its GEB (Gesamtelternbeirat) elections, bringing together parent representatives from across the school community.
The GEB serves as the school's parent representative council, providing an important connection between families and the school administration. With representatives from each class, the council helps ensure that parents have a voice in matters concerning their children's education and school life.
As part of their responsibilities, GEB representatives communicate the questions, suggestions, and concerns raised by parents within their respective classes. They help facilitate discussions with the school, encourage open communication, and work towards finding solutions that benefit the wider school community.
Beyond representing parents' interests, the GEB also plays a role in supporting school events, activities, and initiatives that bring families, students, and staff together. Their involvement helps strengthen relationships within the school and encourages parents to take an active part in their children's educational environment.
Parent representation is an important part of a school community, as it provides families with an opportunity to contribute their perspectives and participate in discussions that may influence school life. Through regular communication and cooperation, the GEB helps build mutual understanding between parents, teachers, and school leadership.
With the election of the new GEB representatives, GESM looks forward to continued collaboration with its parent community throughout the 2026/2027 school year, ensuring that parents' voices remain an important part of the school's development.
