GEB Opens Outdoor Lounge for Parents in School Garden

On May 21, following its regular meeting, the Parent Council of GESM ("Gesamtelternbeirat" or GEB) officially opened its new outdoor parents' lounge in the school garden.

With support from GESM's administration, the cozy al fresco space was inaugurated with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by GEB officers Jenn Grünewald (Chairperson) and Kristine Almeida (Treasurer).

Parents in attendance enjoyed light refreshments and had the chance to learn more about the aquaponics and hydroponics systems in the garden—sustainable innovations that are part of the school's green initiatives.

The outdoor lounge is now open to all parents—a welcoming space to relax, wait, connect, and enjoy the campus outdoors. The garden’s entrance is located just outside the campus gate.
