Grade 3E has been learning about heroes and how everyday people can make a positive difference in the lives of others. After welcoming real-life hero Kyle Javier, founder of the Tiny Blessings Foundation, into the classroom for an interview, Grade 3E were inspired to take action.
Following his visit, students enthusiastically collected donations based on his suggestions, focusing on items that would truly help the children at Tiny Blessings. These included canned goods, clothes, shoes, socks, bedding, vitamins, books, cooking oil, and much more. The generosity and thoughtfulness shown by the students and their families was wonderful to see.
Grade 3E then visited the Tiny Blessings school in Makati, where they delivered the donations and enjoyed a guided tour of the school. They had the opportunity to meet the students there and learn more about their lives. The visit ended with time to play together, as students happily played football, jumped rope, and enjoyed games side by side.
Friendships were made instantly, and the experience helped our students understand that being a hero doesn’t require superpowers. Some heroes show kindness, empathy, and are willing to help others. We are incredibly proud of Grade 3E for showing what it truly means to be heroes in our community.
