The Lesenachmittag or "Afternoon of Reading", held on May 15, 2025, as part of the celebration of World Book Day, placed the joy of reading and literature at the center of attention. The event featured nine diverse activity stations, each inviting students to explore the world of books in creative and playful ways.
Participants had the chance to craft bookmarks and bind notebooks to accompany their literary treasures in style. In creative writing and blackout poetry, imagination knew no bounds. Proverbs were illustrated in artistic ways, while a spelling bee challenged students’ spelling skills.
Poetry darts and Kahoot quizzes offered fun, game-based challenges that combined knowledge, rhetoric, and dexterity. During the read-aloud sessions, stories came to life and captivated the audience.
The reading afternoon was a great success and impressively demonstrated just how diverse and exciting the theme of reading can be.
