Students from Grades 1 and 2 of the German European School Manila (GESM) and the Lycée Français de Manille (LFM) joined in the celebrations for the Élysée Treaty anniversary with a morning of outdoor activities designed to encourage teamwork and collaboration.
On the school field, children competed in relay races organized in mixed GESM-LFM groups, giving them the opportunity to work together across schools while enjoying friendly competition.
The second activity involved a large circular sheet held by the children standing in a circle: a colorful “parachute” game in which a ball placed in the center must be guided onto a specific color through coordinated pulling and tugging. This exercise encouraged communication, coordination, and collective problem-solving, reinforcing the idea of collaboration in a playful setting.
Through both activities, students experienced firsthand the spirit of the Élysée Treaty, building connections and working together across language and school communities.
