What actually is Baybayin?
The children found out this and much more information about the Philippines during the project lessons int he German Primary in the last few weeks. At eleven stations there were different things to discover. The children were able to translate words into Tagalog and practice pronouncing them themselves, read bilingual German-Filipino books, watch a short film about Philippine history, make their own Filipino toy, get to know two Filipino dances and write their name in the old script Baybayin. With all the information collected, they finished by creatively designing a poster so that the knowledge gained can be passed on to others.
