On April 24, primary students marked World Book Day with a special costume event. Each student came dressed as a favorite book character—or even as a book—and brought the book with them to show the connection.
Students paraded in a catwalk-style event, grouped by their student houses. Each house then selected two finalists based on effort and how well the costume matched the book. Finalists earned 25 points for their houses and presented a second costume for the final round. Two overall winners received an extra 25 points.
The event was a fun way to celebrate reading and helped students understand the value of books in a hands-on way.
