A Night of Stories and Imagination: Reading Night at the German Primary

From June 19 to 20, the German European School Manila (GESM) hosted its annual Lesenacht (Reading Night), where students from Grades 1D to 4D of the German Primary section spent a memorable night at school.

The evening was filled with engaging and literacy-focused activities, including a lively Reading Rally and various reading games. A standout moment was the Shoebox Project by Grades 3D and 4D: students selected a book, explored its story in depth, and crafted creative dioramas inside shoeboxes to represent key elements of their chosen stories. These were proudly shared with classmates and teachers.

The Lesenacht remains a beloved tradition at GESM, encouraging a love of reading, creativity, and shared learning experiences.
