"Kinder, how about we write a letter in German to a family member?" - I asked my German grade 2i students a few days ago. My idea was met with the usual enthusiasm of all grade 2i students and we got straight down to work. Students wrote their letters to "Vater, Mama, Oma und Opa", colored it nicely and read it to their family, translating the text if necessary. This ended our current topic "Meine Familie" and we all really enjoyed the learning journey.
