On 2 October 2026, our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students attended an information session with the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), introducing them to higher education opportunities available here in the Philippines.

The University of Asia and the Pacific, located in Pasig City, Metro Manila, is a private university known for its emphasis on liberal arts education, professional development, and the integration of academic knowledge with practical skills. The university offers a range of undergraduate programmes in fields such as business, economics, communication, education, and the humanities. During the session, students were introduced to UA&P and the opportunities available for those considering pursuing their university studies locally. The presentation provided an opportunity for students to learn more about higher education in the Philippines and consider how different academic programmes may align with their personal interests and future career goals.

As an international school, GESM encourages students to explore a variety of educational pathways, whether in Germany, elsewhere in Europe, or here in the Philippines. While studying abroad is an option for many students, it is equally important to recognise the quality of higher education available locally and the opportunities that Philippine universities can offer.

For our Grade 11 students, the session provided an early introduction to university planning, while our Grade 12 students had the opportunity to further consider their options as they prepare for life after graduation.

Through information sessions such as this, GESM aims to help students make informed decisions about their future studies by introducing them to different institutions, academic environments, and educational pathways. The UA&P session was another opportunity for our students to broaden their understanding of what comes after secondary school and recognise that pursuing higher education locally can also be a valuable choice for their future.
