German Primary welcomes new students

Head of German Primary Florian Simmelbauer flanked by homeroom teachers Torsten Herzog (4D) and Herbert Salvenmoser (1D) sing a song of greeting to the new and returning German Primary schoolers.


As part of German tradition, new first graders begin the year by receiving their Schultüte, or "school cone", a crafted cone containing candy and goodies meant to sweeten the transition from preschool to primary. Here are Max and Marie, two 1st graders showing off their cones:


And here's Adrian who just started 2nd grade, showing off a moving-up gift he received from his mom:
