The Eurocampus Science Fair brought students together across grade levels for a day of experiments, learning, and fun -- all organized and led by GESM’s Grade 11 students.
Spread out across the campus, young learners from Kindergarten to Grade 5 visited different experiment stations designed by the older students. The activities explored concepts from physics, chemistry, and biology, with experiments like Balloon Rockets, Centrifugal Force, Do Plants Breathe?, Electroplating Coins, Liquid Pressure and Depth, and even Calamansi Buoyancy: Will It Float?
Other setups encouraged creativity and problem-solving, such as Painting with Salt on Paper, Building a Catapult, Leonardo’s Bridge, and Walking on Eggs. Everywhere, students were learning by doing — asking questions, testing ideas, and discovering how science connects to the world around them.
It was a great example of student-led learning at GESM: Grade 11s guiding and inspiring the younger students while making science engaging and approachable for everyone.
At the German European School Manila (GESM), learning is hands-on, collaborative, and full of discovery. Visit us and see learning in action: www.gesm.org/book-a-tour
