GESM U-19 (Div1) Basketball MISAA Debut Ends in Success

On Saturday February 7^th, GESM’s Basketball team kicked off their Manila International School Athletics Association season with a game at Held at the Beacon School court, eleven eager players started off in fine fashion by getting an early lead of 16-11 at the end of the first quarter. But a deep and strong SSM squad surged back to take a 7-point lead into the third quarter.  However, the GESM boys would not give up!  They fought back to secure a narrow three-point win by a final tally of 58-55.

This group of hearty boys, while entering a new age bracket, worked hard and stayed together to have an exciting debut for the 2026 season as a new entrant in the U-19  age division. Most importantly, solid sportsmanship and camaraderie was displayed by both teams.

Representing GESM were: Santi A. (7E), Bogdan L. (8E), San Y. (9E), Pablo J. (9E), Iago A. (9E), Brandon F. (9E), Sebastian L. (9E), Deacon B. (9E), Mohammed S. (9E), Mateo A. (11), and Nelson C. (12). 

With three more regular season games ahead against NAIS, Everest Academy and CIS, the boys have great challenge to make the playoffs in April. Your support is greatly appreciated!
