Grade 11 Students Showcase Critical Thinking at TOK Exhibition

On June 24, Grade 11 students at the German European School Manila (GESM) presented their much-anticipated Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition, a key component of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

The exhibition is designed to explore how knowledge takes shape in the real world. Each student selected three objects to anchor their response to a central knowledge question, reflecting on themes such as Knowledge & Technology, Knowledge & Politics, Knowledge & Language, and more. The result was a diverse and thought-provoking display of individual inquiry, self-reflection, and global awareness.

Visitors—including teachers, fellow students, and the incoming Grade 10 students (currently taking part in the IB Prep Week)—engaged with the exhibitors through meaningful dialogue.

The interaction not only allowed Grade 11 students to sharpen their communication skills, but also offered the younger students a glimpse into the intellectual challenges and rewards of the IBDP journey.

The TOK Exhibition at GESM stands as a display of critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and depth.
