Our Grade 3 students had a wonderful day out as they visited One Earth One Ocean in Manila Bay and Ocean Park!
First stop was One Earth One Ocean, where we learned all about keeping our oceans clean. The OeOO team introduced the students to their amazing solar-powered vessel that collects rubbish from the water. Everyone was so impressed to see green technology in action! The vessel collects around six large bags of plastic from Manila Bay every day, and the students noticed that most of it was plastic.
Next, it was off to Ocean Park Manila for more ocean adventures. The kids were thrilled to see all kinds of fish, big rays, and even sharks swimming right over them in the glass tunnel. Another big highlight was seeing the penguins up close. Everyone loved watching the playful penguins waddle and swim around!
By the end of the day, our Grade 3s were full of stories, new knowledge, and big smiles. They had a great time and came back to school excited to help protect our oceans. What a fantastic trip!
