Our Grade 12 students recently welcomed Chita Maharani Putri from Hult International Business School for an interactive workshop exploring the psychology behind persuasion, consumer behaviour, and the art of selling a product.

Hult International Business School is an internationally recognised institution with campuses in Boston, London, and Dubai, known for its practical approach to business education. The school holds three prestigious international accreditations: AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (Association of MBAs), and EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System). These organisations assess the quality of business education, including academic standards, teaching, and connections with the professional world. Achieving all three, commonly known as triple accreditation, places Hult among a small percentage of business schools worldwide to hold this recognition.

The workshop was led by Chita Maharani Putri, Associate Director of Undergraduate Enrollment at Hult, who has a professional background in marketing and business analytics. Drawing on her experience, she introduced students to the importance of understanding human behaviour and the different factors that influence decision making in business.

Throughout the session, students explored what makes a product appealing, how businesses communicate its value, and why understanding an audience is essential when presenting an idea. Rather than focusing solely on selling, the workshop encouraged students to think critically about the psychology behind persuasion and how different approaches can influence people's choices.

Through interactive discussions and activities, students had the opportunity to put these concepts into practice, developing their communication, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills. The session also demonstrated how persuasion extends beyond business, playing an important role in everyday conversations, presentations, and decision making.

For our Grade 12 students, the workshop offered an opportunity to explore the relationship between psychology and business while gaining a better understanding of how these skills can be applied in their future studies, careers, and everyday lives.
