Maraming salamat, Herr Frank!

Today marks the last school day of Mr. Christoph-Boris Frank, who has served as Head of School at the German European School Manila (GESM) since September 2018.

During his seven years of leadership, Mr. Frank not only guided the school community through periods of change and growth but also remained active in the classroom. Each year, he taught History and/or Geography in the German Secondary Department -- a role through which he stayed closely connected to students and teaching.

To honor and surprise him on his final school day, students and staff gathered for a special assembly on October 10. The event featured musical performances and tributes by both students and teachers, expressing appreciation and good wishes for Mr. Frank as he enters retirement.

Mr. Frank’s husband, Jason, also leaves a warm mark on the GESM community. As a dedicated volunteer, he managed the school shop and regularly assisted in organizing school events, where his helpfulness and collaborative spirit were always appreciated.

The Franks will now return to Hamburg, Germany, to begin their well-earned retirement. On behalf of the entire GESM community, we extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Frank and Jason for their contributions and wish them both all the best for this new chapter ahead!
