Mariposa Edu visits GESM: Building Bridges to Future Opportunities in Germany

This week, GESM had the pleasure of welcoming Kirsten Herr and Rene Evering of Mariposa Edu. From September 23 to 25, they led a series of workshops with our Secondary students as well as an information evening for parents.

During their sessions, Ms. Herr and Mr. Evering engaged students in discussions about their plans and potential pathways after graduation from GESM. Topics included career options, study programs at universities in Germany, the Dual Study (Duales Studium) model, internships, and vocational training (Ausbildungen). The workshops encouraged students to think broadly about their futures and highlighted the many opportunities available to them in Germany.

Our new partnership with Mariposa aims to:

1. Open pathways to study and career options in Germany

2. Support families with counselling on internships and university choices

3. Connect GESM with German companies and institutions
