On September 25, GESM welcomed Mr. Jeffrey Kiyooka from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He met with our Grade 11 and 12 students to introduce the study opportunities UBC offers and to highlight what makes the university an attractive choice for international applicants.
While presenting UBC’s programs and campus life, Mr. Kiyooka also shared broader insights into the application process for universities in Canada and, to some extent, the wider North America. His talk included practical tips on preparing for university life abroad, from the application phase to adjusting to a new academic and social environment.
The session provided our senior students with useful knowledge and perspectives as they begin considering the many different pathways open to them after GESM.
