World Book Day 2026 at GESM

On Thursday, 23 April, the school celebrated World Book Day with a lively event organized by the Primary Houses in collaboration with the School Library, and hosted by Miss Lala Gamboa.
Students came dressed as their favorite book characters, authors, and illustrators, proudly showcasing their costumes on the red carpet and on stage. The wide range of creative outfits reflected a strong enthusiasm for reading and storytelling.
The program began with a brief introduction to the history and significance of World Book Day, followed by an interactive Q&A segment that actively engaged students and encouraged participation.
A highlight of the event was the costume showcase, with winners selected per level by a panel of judges: Miss Alka Kumar, Miss Kathleen Juliano, and Miss Tonette Bajao.
The celebration brought together students and staff in a vibrant and engaging tribute to books, creativity, and the joy of reading.
